2018 WinterWild announcement. Apollo Bay’s newest arts festival will be running on the following dates:10-12 August, 24-26th August.

Just as darkness set in, it commenced to blow and rain in torrents, the wind made the fire and the smoke twist and turn in all directions. The noise of the tremendous trees roaring and cracking, the rain coming in at points of the roof made me shudder… Had it not been for some brandy and water I found … I don’t know what may have been the consequences. Don’t Look Away.

BIRREGURRA MUSIC SALON PRESENTS BEC GORING

18 AUG 2018

05:00PM

18 AUG 2018

07:30PM

7 Sladen Street, Birregurra 3242

After wowing us on the Blues Train at Queenscliff Festival in 2017, Bec Goring is coming to Birregurra to treat us with her own style of music that blurs the boundaries between blues and jazz.

An electrifying guitarist and singer reminiscent of Mia Dyson, Bec is bringing along a few of her favourite musos to accompany her as she pays subtle homage to many soul and blues artists.

Sweet vocals backed by a never-ending bag of blues infused riffery, eloquent harmonies whilst maintaining a striking contrast among songs. It's not at all surprising that audiences are spinning her single release 'Weekend' like fairy floss from a candy store.

Bec comes to Birregurra with some of her favourite musos to accompany her. Standby to be blown away by this emerging up-comer. Once again, we're getting in before she hits the heights

BIRREGURRA MUSIC SALON PRESENTS JESS FAIRLIE

BIRREGURRA MUSIC SALON PRESENTS JESS FAIRLIE

09 SEP 2018

05:00PM

09 SEP 2018

07:30PM

7 Sladen Street, Birregurra 3242

A quick venture into newfound Melbourne pop prodigy Jess Fairlie's stirring and straight-forward 'Senses' immediately evokes R&B by-lines of old. Inspired by the likes of Stevie Wonder and modern heroes like Regina Spektor, Fairlie finds effortless beauty in her debut single, which is sure to create some positive buzz for the contemporary pop community.

Fairlie's ballad, behind the empowering piano and rousing vocals, is an endearing simple song of love and distance, as she realizes, "I'll just stay here as your friend/Hoping that you come to your senses." While the territory is familiar, the execution sounds like it's from an industry vet - not someone completely brand new to the scene.

Listen to 'Senses' below and look out for Fairlie's upcoming self-titled EP

School Holiday fun for the kids!

Welcome to the town of Grinalong! Grinalong was once famous for the car race, The Grinalong Classic.

Fifty years ago the race stopped when a wolf that lived in nearby Tangled Woods destroyed racing cars and the drivers fled in terror. Now, the new Mayor has a plan to bring back Grinalong’s glory days, and re-launches the race. But it soon becomes obvious that he is more interested in furthering his own ambitions and lining his pockets than helping the town. And he doesn’t mind hurting Red and Gran in the process.

Great Songs of the War Years

November 11, 2018 marks the 100th anniversary of the end of World War 1, the “war to end all wars”.

To commemorate this occasion, Promac Productions bring their highly acclaimed Great Songs Of The War Years to Colac.

Join us in remembrance and enjoy the songs and stories from this period and other significant times of war in the twentieth century.

Concentrating predominately on the popular songs of WW1, this production has assembled a fine cast of six, led by sensational tenor Roy Best, music theatre star Jaz Flowers, international soprano Alison Jones and Opera Australia mezzo Caroline Vercoe.

Chris McKenna will be narrating, with musical direction by Len Vorster on piano.

WW2 and The Vietnam War will also be remembered with more songs and stories, including special tributes to the Andrew Sisters and Dame Vera Lynn.

All of this will be performed with a backdrop of powerful war images on the big screen.

Morning Music favourites Melissa Langton and Mark Jones team up with opera and cabaret star David Rogers-Smith to wish you a very Merry Christmas!

You’ve never been to Christmas party quite like this! Mario Lanza’s pouring eggnog for Bette Midler while Nat King Cole plays swinging versions of Silent Night and Come All Ye Faithful!

Fabulous vocal arrangements, jokes about Three Wise Men walking into a stable - and it wouldn’t be Christmas without a good sing-a-long round the piano! Mary’s Boy Child, Cool Yule, Oh Holy Night, Santa Baby, Jerusalem and of course Santa Claus Is Coming To Town!

And let’s not forget classic Aussie Christmas songs like Deck the Sheds With Bits of Wattle and Have Yourselves a Ripper Christmas!
