There is always something to see or do in the Otway Country to Coast region. Take a leisurely drive through the magnificent forests and you'll find something super, natural around almost every corner. Caruso to Carreras - the Great Tenors

The stories of the world’s greatest tenors and their leading ladies come to life in Caruso to Carreras.

Leading Australian tenor Roy Best will perform classic hits of Enrico Caruso and José Carreras as well as many other beloved tenors including Pavarotti, Bocelli, Lanza and Domingo.

Every tenor has a leading lady, and in Caruso to Carreras versatile Australian soprano Alison Jones sings all the wonderful solos and duets.

Concert virtuoso Len Vorster will be at the piano; while compere Chris McKenna will guide the audience through the fascinating stories of the greatest tenors the world has ever known.

Enjoy hits such as ‘Be My Love’, ‘Nessun Dorma’ and ‘O Sole Mio’ and duets including ‘Time To Say Goodbye’, ‘Amigos Para Sempre’, ‘Strangers In Paradise, ‘Loveliest Night of the Year’ and many more.

Victoria’s iconic Great Ocean Road is home to one of the world’s most visually spectacular marathons, The renamed 'Great Ocean Road Running Festival' with panoramic views of the Southern Ocean, the famous seaside location will attract participants from across Australia to participate in one of the seven events on the 18th and 19th of May, 2019.
 
The iconic event provides participants of all fitness levels and ages with a unique opportunity to challenge themselves physically across of range of distances, ranging from 1.5km through to 60km.Road closures and detours will be in place on both days to support the safe conduct of the Great Ocean Road Marathon events.

Apollo Bay Golf Club's Annual Tournament will be run over the Queens Birthday long weekend - 5 to 11 June. 

The major events are the Men's Open Stroke of 27 holes hold on the Sunday and the Women's Open Stroke of 27 holes held on the Friday. 

There are other partner events held over the week.

A great winter day out!   Now in its 14th year the Forrest Soupfest is an annual festival held at the Forrest Recreation Reserve featuring homemade soups.  Enter competitions for home made soups, jams, conserves, pickles, chutneys, wine and beer. There will be a prize for the biggest/most unusual vegetable.  

Soups on offer will be made by the Forrest Lions Club, Forrest General Store, Bespoke Harvest Restaurant, Platypi Chocolaterie, Forrest Neighbourhood House and the Terminus Hotel Forrest. Please bring your own cup, as we aim to become a Waste Free Festival.

This year we are introducing Master Classes to learn about the health benefits of eating soup, fermenting winter vegetables, making sourdough bread, and demonstrations on making a master stock.

A gold coin donation enables families to enjoy lots of free activities; rock climbing wall, jumping castle, animal farm, mask making, live musical entertainment and over 45 market stalls to explore.
